Tearing into the Opposition Congress, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman leveled the serious allegation that the MMRCA deal was deliberately scuttled by the previous Congress-led UPA Government because of extraneous interests, in disregard of a pressing national security requirement for additional fighter aircraft.
