Deutsche Aircraft, an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) based in the heart of Bavaria's aerospace cluster, is proud to participate in Europe's leading aerospace trade fair, ILA Berlin. The highly anticipated event will commence with the esteemed presence of German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, underscoring the significance of this occasion for the German and European aerospace industries.
At ILA Berlin, attendees have the exclusive opportunity to see the remarkable D328® UpLift flying testbed firsthand, which marks a significant milestone in the pursuit of sustainable aviation solutions. As part of its commitment to promoting climate-friendly aviation, Deutsche Aircraft is a key partner of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) for the conversion of the D328® UpLift flying testbed. This groundbreaking project exemplifies the company's dedication to advancing aviation technology and highlights its pivotal role within the German, European and global aviation value chain.
The D328® UpLift flying testbed represents a crucial step towards promoting sustainable aviation solutions. Equipped with state-of-the-art avionics systems and engines temporarily modified to run on synthetic fuels, the aircraft is poised to undertake an experimental CO2 emission measurement campaign.
Adapted from an existing D328® airframe, the D328ALPHA model will be on display at the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Action stand during ILA Berlin. The D328ALPHA programme aims to reduce aviation emissions by evaluating and flight-testing promising technologies, including electric propulsion, fuel cells and liquid hydrogen storage. This project is part of the LuFo VI-I Civil Aviation Research programme and is partially funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Action (BMWK). The goal of LuFo is to create a fuel-cell-powered demonstrator, aligning with Deutsche Aircraft's ongoing efforts to push the boundaries in aircraft innovation.
Deutsche Aircraft is committed to shaping the future of aviation through its participation in the D328® UpLift project, playing a pivotal role within the German and international aviation value chain. The company remains steadfast in driving progress and fostering collaboration across borders.
