Embraer and the Colombian Aeronautical Industry Corporation (CIAC) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at FIDAE for a possible expansion of industrial and technical cooperation to boost Colombia's aerospace industry.
"The signing of this MoU strengthens the relationship built over the years with CIAC and paves the way for a possible expansion of technical and industrial cooperation across Embraer's portfolio, which includes the A-29 Super Tucano and the KC-390 Millennium" said Fabio Caparica, Vice-President of Contracts at Embraer Defense & Security. "Our goal is to further strengthen the Colombian aerospace industry and evaluate opportunities to integrate CIAC into Embraer's global production chains."

Colombia represents an important market for Embraer in all segments. Currently, the company has a fleet of 50 aircraft operating in the country, serving customers in the areas of Defense & Security, Commercial, and Executive Aviation. This includes 24 A-29 Super Tucanos operated by the Colombian Aerospace Force (FAC, in Spanish), among others.
